GRADIENT — EDGE TO CENTRE
Ombre lip tattooing is a cosmetic lip tattooing technique that builds colour in a gradient. Pigment usually sits with more depth around the lip border and softens as it moves toward the centre of the lips. The effect is a sense of shape and dimension without a hard, drawn-on line.
Like a hem adjusted to one body, the gradient is set to your own mouth. We look at your natural lip colour, your border and your symmetry, and at any previous tattoo. Then we choose a pigment and decide how strong the graduation should be. One client may suit a subtle shift. Another may prefer a more noticeable deepening at the edge. Both start in the consultation, not from a set template.
REFERENCE — LIP CONTOUR, STOCK IMAGE
You like how a lip liner blended into lipstick looks, and would like something similar without reapplying it every day.
Your border looks pale or undefined, and you would like more shape than a sheer wash gives.
You would like visible colour, but a full, even lipstick finish feels like too much.
01 — LIP BLUSH
It enhances your natural lip colour and definition with a soft, even tint. It’s often where clients with pale lips start the conversation at consultation.
03 — OMBRE
Deeper at the border, softer toward the centre. It gives more definition and dimension than lip blush while still reading as blended.
04 — LIPSTICK EFFECT
A more saturated, lipstick-style finish across the whole lip. It suits clients who want to rely less on daily lipstick.
FRESH — NOT FINAL
TREATMENT INFORMATION
Cosmetic lip tattooing is a skin-penetration procedure. It is carried out with infection control and with health information provided before treatment, in line with Victorian requirements.
Results vary between individuals. Healing and pigment retention cannot be guaranteed, and an additional session may be needed to refine the gradient. We don’t offer lip fillers, injectables or medical lip treatments. For those, please see a qualified healthcare professional.
