08 — LIP TATTOO REMOVAL
Lip tattoo removal is our specialist treatment for reducing unwanted lip tattoo pigment. The pigment might be from a previous treatment that healed too dark, the wrong shade or uneven, or a colour you’ve simply grown out of. Every removal at our Melbourne studio starts with a careful assessment, and we’re straightforward with you about what can realistically change.
LIMITS — STATED BEFORE WE START
Removal aims to reduce unwanted pigment. We can’t promise complete removal, and we can’t tell you in advance how many sessions you’ll need. How pigment responds depends on the original work, the colour and depth used, how your skin heals and how much time has passed.
Results vary between individuals, and healing can’t be guaranteed. Some clients see enough reduction to move on to a fresh, more natural-looking treatment. For others the change is more modest. We’ll tell you what we see at your assessment and explain how a realistic outcome might look for your lips, without making any promises.
Lip tattoo removal is a cosmetic tattoo service, not a medical treatment. If you have a lip condition or want injectable or surgical options, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
STOCK REFERENCE — NATURAL LIPS, SOFT LIGHT
FOCUS — THE COLOUR YOU STARTED WITH
Often the goal isn’t a new colour. It’s getting back to something closer to your own lip tone.
REMOVAL — OR CORRECTION
Is the problem the amount of pigment, or its colour? Your assessment answers that.
ROUTE — REMOVAL
Usually discussed when pigment is too heavy, too dark or sits outside your natural border. The aim is to reduce what’s there before anything new is considered.
ROUTE — CORRECTION
Usually discussed when the shade has healed warmer, cooler or patchier than you hoped, and colour can be adjusted rather than reduced. Some clients need both, removal first and then lip tattoo correction.
01
We ask what you know about your previous lip tattoo, including when it was done and what’s changed since.
02
In person, we look at how dense the pigment is, its colour, its border and the condition of your lips.
03
Before any treatment, we go through your health information, suitability and possible risks.
04
We review how your lips have healed before deciding on any next step. See how our consultations work.
SAFETY — A SKIN-PENETRATION PROCEDURE
Like all cosmetic lip tattooing, removal penetrates the skin. We follow Victorian public health requirements, including infection control and giving you the health and safety information you need before treatment. It isn’t painless or risk-free, and it may not suit everyone, so we talk this through openly first.
AFTERCARE — ● PART OF THE RESULT
How your lips look straight after a session isn’t the final picture. Healing and pigment change happen gradually and differ from person to person. We’ll give you clear aftercare guidance, and following it closely gives your skin the best chance to settle well between sessions.
NEXT — AN ASSESSMENT, NOT A COMMITMENT
In your enquiry, let us know roughly when your previous lip tattoo was done and what you’d like to change. We’ll take it from there with a free quote and an honest view of your options, which might be removal, correction or simply waiting. Olha Po has worked in cosmetic tattooing since 2016, and that experience shapes every assessment.
