05 — LIP LINER TATTOO

Lip liner

BORDER — DEFINED, NOT DRAWN

LINE — FOLLOWS YOUR NATURAL SHAPE

Lip liner and contour tattooing brings back definition to a lip border that has softened, faded or blurred into the surrounding skin. We work with the shape you have, so the result reads as your own lips, simply clearer.

APPROACH — THE BORDER AS IT IS

Defined,
not drawn.

Many clients describe the same thing: an undefined lip border, a line that seems to disappear by the afternoon, or a shape that looks uneven when lipstick isn’t on. Lip liner tattooing places fine, controlled pigment along the natural edge of the lip to give it a clearer frame.

The aim is not to create a new mouth. Overdrawing a border well beyond the natural lip line tends to look obvious once healed, so we follow the edge you already have and make small, considered refinements only where they suit your features and symmetry.

Every treatment is planned under the lead of Olha Po, Founder & Certified Cosmetic Tattoo Artist, who has worked professionally in cosmetic tattooing since 2016. Treatments take place at our Melbourne studio by appointment.

BORDER — WHERE IT FADES

Reading the edge

We look closely at where your border is crisp and where it softens, so pigment goes only where definition is missing.

02

SYMMETRY — LEFT AND RIGHT

Balancing the shape

Natural lips are rarely identical on both sides. We discuss which small adjustments might help balance and which are best left alone.

03

COLOUR — CHOSEN FOR YOUR TONE

Selecting the pigment

Liner colour is chosen to sit close to your natural lip tone, so the border reads as definition rather than an outline.

COMBINATIONS — DECIDED AT CONSULTATION

A line on its own,
or part of a plan.

Some clients only want a clearer border. Others find that definition works best alongside colour. After your consultation, lip liner may be combined with:

If your concern is a previous lip tattoo that has blurred or changed colour, Lip Tattoo Correction may need to be considered first.

HEALING — COLOUR SETTLES GRADUALLY

Fresh is not final.

Straight after treatment, a lip liner tattoo often looks brighter or darker than it will once healed. The healed colour develops gradually, and pigment retention varies from person to person. A further session may be needed to refine the line.

SAFETY — INFORMATION BEFORE TREATMENT

A skin-penetration procedure.

Cosmetic lip tattooing penetrates the skin, so we follow infection control practices and provide health and safety information before treatment, in line with Victorian public health requirements. Suitability is discussed at your consultation. Results vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed.
