SERVICE 12 — FULL LIPSTICK EFFECTS

A fuller lip colour,
fitted to your face.

A full lipstick effect is a cosmetic lip tattoo that carries more colour across the whole lip than a soft lip blush. It suits clients who reach for lipstick every morning and would like to rely on it less. We still work with your natural border and skin tone, so the colour sits on your lips rather than looking painted on.

DECISION — HOW MUCH COLOUR?

Fuller colour is
one choice of several.

The biggest decision is how strong you’d like your colour to read. Here is how a full lipstick effect sits beside our softer lip techniques. We’ll help you compare them against your own lips at the consultation.

THE FITTING — FIVE STEPS

How a full
colour is
fitted.

The full approach is set out in The Fitting: Our Consultation Process.

01 Observe

We look at your natural lip colour, border, symmetry and any previous tattoo, and ask how you wear lipstick now.

02 Discuss

We go through suitability, possible risks and the health and safety information required before treatment under Victorian regulations. See Safety, Suitability & Risks.

03 Decide

Together we choose a shade and depth for your skin tone. We’ll explain what the technique aims for, but we never promise a particular outcome.

04 Treat

Cosmetic lip tattooing is a skin-penetration procedure, so it is carried out under infection control in our Melbourne studio.

05 Heal and review

A fuller colour can look especially bright or dark at first, and the healed colour develops gradually. Some clients need another session. Read Healing & Aftercare.

QUESTIONS — BEFORE YOU BOOK

Asked about
fuller colour.

Will it look like lipstick all the time?

It is designed to read as more colour than lip blush, but how strong is something we agree on together. If you would rather keep it subtle, a softer technique may suit you better.

How much does it cost?

Every treatment is personalised, so we give you a free quote once we understand what you would like.

Does it hurt, and how long will it last?

How it feels differs from person to person, and we talk you through what to expect beforehand. Results also vary, and pigment retention can’t be guaranteed, so a touch-up may be recommended.

I already have a lip tattoo. Can I go fuller?

We’ll assess your existing colour first. Sometimes Lip Tattoo Correction is the better place to start. You’ll find more answers in our Lip Tattoo FAQs.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Results vary from person to person, and healing and pigment retention can’t be guaranteed. When you’re ready, tell us a little about your lips and the colour you have in mind.
