SERVICE 18 — NATURAL LIP COLOUR ENHANCEMENT

Your own colour,
a little
clearer.

Natural lip colour enhancement is cosmetic lip tattooing for clients who like their lips as they are, and simply want them to read a little more clearly. We add soft pigment that works with your existing tone, so pale, faded or uneven colour looks more even without looking painted on.

CONCERN — IN YOUR WORDS

What you might
be noticing.

01 — PALE LIPS

Lip colour that blends into your skin, so you reach for lipstick most days. A soft lip blush tattoo is usually where we start.

02 — UNEVEN COLOUR

A lighter corner, a patchy area or one side that fades. If your concern is darker pigmentation, dark lip neutralisation is a separate treatment with its own limits.

03 — SOFT BORDER

An edge that blurs once the colour fades. Gentle definition can sit within an enhancement, or a lip liner tattoo can be planned on its own.

COLOUR — CHOSEN FOR YOUR TONE

Pigment,
chosen for
one face.

A natural look depends more on pigment selection than on intensity. We look at your current lip colour, your skin tone and how you’d like your lips to look day to day, then choose a shade intended to sit close to your own.

If you’d prefer a softer wash of colour, aquarelle lips may suit you better. If you want more depth, we can talk through ombre or the lipstick effect.

THE FITTING — FOUR STEPS

How the colour
is fitted.

The full sequence is set out in our consultation process.

01

Observe

We look at your natural colour, border and symmetry, and note any previous lip tattoo.

02

Discuss

Before any treatment, we go through suitability, possible risks and the health and safety information required in Victoria, and answer your questions.

03

Decide

Together we choose the technique and pigment. We’ll describe what we’re aiming for and leave the final say with you, without promising an exact outcome.

04

Treat and review

Lip tattooing is a skin-penetration procedure, so we carry it out with infection control throughout. The colour then settles gradually, and we may suggest a further session.

TONE — JUDGE IT HEALED

Judge the colour
once it has
settled.

A natural enhancement is meant to sit close to your own tone, so the first few days can be misleading. Straight after treatment, fresh pigment often looks brighter or darker than it will once healed, and the healed colour develops gradually. That’s why we look at the tone together once it has settled, not on day one.

Cosmetic tattoo results vary from person to person. Healing and pigment retention can’t be guaranteed, and some clients need an additional session to reach the colour we planned. We assess suitability individually at your consultation.

We don’t offer lip fillers, injectables or medical treatment for lip conditions; please see a qualified healthcare professional for those. Read why fresh lip colour isn’t the final result, our healing & aftercare guide and safety, suitability & risks.

QUESTIONS — BEFORE YOU BOOK

Questions,
answered
simply.

Will it look natural?

That’s the aim of this treatment. We choose pigment to suit your own tone and build colour softly, and we’ll talk through how it is likely to settle as it heals.

What does it cost?

We offer a free quote, which we can give once we understand your lips and what you’d like to achieve.

Will I feel discomfort?

Everyone feels it differently. We’ll explain what to expect during your consultation, so you can decide with clear information.

Will I need a touch-up?

Possibly. How pigment is retained varies, and some clients need another session. See our lip tattoo FAQs for more.
