SERVICE 13 — OMBRE LIP TATTOOING

Colour that
graduates,
edge to centre.

Ombre lip tattooing is a graduated lip colour technique. Instead of one even tone, pigment is built up in layers so the colour shifts gently across your lips. We plan where that shift happens, and how strong it is, around your own lip shape and natural colour.

GRADIENT — DIRECTION AGREED WITH YOU
DEPTH — SOFT TO MORE DEFINED
PIGMENT — CHOSEN FOR YOUR TONE

What we decide
before any pigment goes in.

Ombre is often chosen by clients who want more presence than a sheer wash of colour, but still want a soft edge rather than a solid block. Commonly the colour sits deeper towards the border and softens towards the centre, although the direction and contrast are always discussed with you first.

At your consultation we look at your natural lip colour, border and symmetry, and any previous lip tattoo. From there we talk through how pronounced the gradient should be and which pigment suits your tone. If ombre isn’t the right fit for what you’re hoping for, we’ll tell you, and explain the alternatives.

SERVICE 01 — SOFTEST

Lip Blush Tattoo

Enhances your natural lip colour and definition for a soft, balanced look. A good place to start if you want subtle.

SERVICE 03 — GRADUATED

Ombre Lip Tattoo

Layered colour that shifts across the lips, with a stronger area and a softer area. Sits between a gentle blush and a full lipstick look.

SERVICE 04 — FULLEST

Lipstick Effect Tattoo

A fuller, more even lipstick-style colour for clients who’d like to rely less on daily lipstick.

01

Observe

We look closely at your natural colour, border, symmetry and any previous tattoo, because a gradient reads differently on every mouth.

02

Discuss

Suitability, possible risks and the health information required in Victoria are covered before treatment. Read Safety, Suitability & Risks.

03

Decide

Together we settle the gradient direction, depth and pigment. We explain what’s realistic, without promising a particular outcome.

04

Treat & review

Lip tattooing is a skin-penetration procedure, carried out with infection control. Colour settles gradually, and another session may be needed. See Healing & Aftercare.

Will my lips look this colour straight away?

Not exactly. Fresh pigment often looks brighter or darker than the final result, and the healed colour develops gradually. That matters with ombre, where the contrast can look stronger at first. More in Why Fresh Lip Colour Isn’t the Final Result.

Will I need more than one session?

Possibly. Results vary between individuals, healing and pigment retention can’t be guaranteed, and some clients need an additional session to refine the gradient. We review your healed colour with you.

How much does it cost?

We offer a free quote, worked out once we understand your lips and what you’d like. Send an enquiry or call 0434 424 000.

I already have an old lip tattoo. Can I have ombre?

It depends on the existing colour. Sometimes Lip Tattoo Correction comes first, and that has its own limitations. We’ll look at it with you at consultation.
