SERVICE 14 — DEFINITION, KEPT SOFT

Definition,
softly
placed.

Many of our clients want two things at once: a lip shape that reads clearly, and colour that still looks like their own. This treatment approach uses cosmetic lip tattooing to improve definition while creating a soft, balanced appearance, fitted to your natural border, tone and symmetry.

STUDIO — MELBOURNE, BY APPOINTMENT

ARTIST — OLHA PO

REFERENCE — LIP LINE, STOCK IMAGE

BALANCE — TWO MEASUREMENTS, ONE RESULT

Sharper where it helps.
Softer everywhere else.

BORDER — DEFINED, NOT DRAWN

Definition

Where your border is soft, uneven or fades into the surrounding skin, pigment placed along your own natural line can help your lip shape read more clearly. The aim is a border that belongs to your face.

COLOUR — CHOSEN FOR YOUR TONE

Softness

Colour is diffused through the lip rather than packed to the edge, so the look stays gentle. Pigment is selected with your natural lip colour and skin tone in mind, not taken from a set chart.

TECHNIQUE — DECIDED TOGETHER

Where it fits

Depending on your features, this may draw on Lip Blush Tattoo, Lip Liner Tattoo or Aquarelle Lips. We recommend a technique only after seeing your lips in person.

THE FITTING — FOUR STEPS

How we
balance
it.

01

Observe

We look at your natural colour, border, symmetry and any previous tattoo, noting where definition is lost and where softness already works.

02

Discuss

Suitability, possible risks and the required health information are covered before treatment, in line with Victorian public health requirements.

03

Decide

Together we agree on how much definition to add, how soft the colour should be and which pigment suits your tone. We don’t promise a particular outcome.

04

Treat and review

Cosmetic lip tattooing is a skin-penetration procedure, carried out with infection control. Your colour settles gradually as it heals, and another session may be needed.

EDGES — STRONGER AT FIRST

Edges settle too.

While it’s fresh, the border can look stronger and more defined than intended, and fresh pigment often looks brighter or darker overall. As your lips heal, the edge tends to soften and the colour develops gradually, so we review the healed definition before suggesting anything more. Read why fresh lip colour isn’t the final result and our healing & aftercare guide.

SUITABILITY — ASSESSED IN PERSON

Results vary.
We'll tell you how.

Results vary between individuals, and healing and pigment retention can’t be guaranteed. Some clients need an additional session. This is cosmetic tattooing, not lip fillers or injectables; for those, please see a qualified healthcare professional. More in Safety, Suitability & Risks.

QUESTIONS — BEFORE YOU BOOK

Asked at
the fitting.

Will more definition make my lips look drawn on?

Not if the balance is right. We follow your natural line and keep the colour soft, and we agree on how strong the border should be before treatment begins.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the technique that suits you. We offer a free quote, so you can understand your options before deciding.

Will I need a touch-up?

Possibly. Pigment heals differently from person to person, and some clients need an additional session to settle colour or definition.

Who does the treatment?
